Recommended Reading Level: Adult
Theme: Evaluating Literature from a Christian perspective
Summary: Gallagher and Lundin explain, in detail, their answers to three questions: 1) Why should we read literature? 2) What happens when we read? 3) How should we select and evaluate what we read?
Strengths: Gallagher and Lundin deal with theoretical issues related to the composing, reading a evaluating of literature in a straightforward and readable manner.
Weaknesses: This  is not necessarily a weakness, but the book is theoretical in nature, roughly the level of a college textbook. If you’re looking for some light summer reading, this is probably not the book you want.
Other Notes: Although I do vary from the book on minor issues, this is roughly the perspective I use in evaluating books for the Worthy Books web site.
